Bullshit Pedro. Did he have the transfer request down his sock?

Handed in his request on the pitch at St Andrews.

Got the hump when forced to stay and then decided to get himself sent off about 3 times.

Went to "boyhood club Spurs".

Shows how desperate we must be.

My fearless prediction: if we buy him, he and Payet by themselves will keep us up and even possibly push us into the top half.

MARK MY WORDS.

Re: Defoe £6m
I cant for the life of me think why this would happen, 6 million may be a low fee by today’s standards but 6 million is still a shit load of money and lets not forget he’s 34 pushing 35 and has a contract at Sunderland for at least another coupe of years, 2019 I think.

Then why would Sunderland sell a striker, leaves them short one and needing a replacement, then why would he come back leave, unless he’s getting a better (longer) contract that’s going to take him on top wages through until he’s pushing 40, I doubt he would be interested.

Will never happen.

Willtell

Two-year deal. Either 4-4-2 or drop Big Andy and have him spearhead 4-3-3.

If not him, who else? Most decent proven goal-scoring strikers think we're a bag of shite.

Pratto? He is truly awful. Martial etc? No way Manure will release him.

Bacca would be good but he thinks we're a two bob club.

Loyalty & footballer rarely belong in the same phrase

Defoe is just one of the legion of disloyal ex-West Ham though I don't recall him slagging the club off in the way Lampard did after he left

When there is the foul whiff of relegation in the air most of the best players want to move on fast

Even our chubby French maestro is not immune!

''but where does he fit into the system?''

Never bought into that jargon. Not saying we should sign Defoe, but if you have a top striker who will score you goals then you find a way to make it work.

Re: Defoe £6m
"£6m is fucking peanuts. He scores goals for fun."

There's a lot I disagree with there camel. Firstly he doesn't score goals for fun. He's slowing down and misses a lot. Some of his 8 strikes this year have been penalties which again we don't need as we have a captain that won't let him take them.

£6m for a second striker is fine but we don't play with 2 strikers so why would we need a 5'7" target man? He might score goals 2nd half of the season but where does he fit into the system?

Carroll, Payet, Antonio, Ayew and a greedy little fucker that won't pass to better placed players has shit on WH before and twice played for Tottenham....

Then of course he would insist on a contract at least until 2019 which he has at Sunderland. His wages will be high meaning it takes up big FFP chunks for the next 3 seasons when we will be paying him to sit on the bench as he gets slower and slower...

If this transfer happens then I just despair for our transfer policy.

Proven goal scorer with a great fitness record.

Guaranteed out injured for the rest of the season within a month of signing, without scoring a goal.

Would be good for next 18 months. Would have to force a move himself, can`t see Sunderland letting him go.

Who gives a fuck about him leaving as a kid.

Let's get him paired up with Big Andy in a classic little and large 90s 4-4-2 combo.

Time to go fucking retro as this wing shit isn't working. Kick Ayew out the team to make space

If defoe can can come on and score the winner against Arsenal In the second half of
The season then yes, Get him in, Have to get my own back on my grandson who was
Converted to Arsenal by his cousin, they were at the game, Telling me how shit we are.
Would be worth it just for that.

Relegation isn't that bad - not as bad as getting Defoe back...
